Art Piece
This is about the exiting yet simple artist of MAN RAY. The painting I'm writing about is the Rayograph. They are simple yet complex paintings of materials he put together. ENJOY!
Man Ray, "Rayograph 1928"
Imitationalism: I believe that this piece of art uses the clouds and shapes we see everyday, but he puts them together well so it doesn't look like a photograph. I believe it would look better if it was a mirror image on both sides. Parts of this painting is detailed. For example, the clouds are very detailed. I like this piece of art because it stands out from the others in my opinion.
Emotionalism: In my opinion, the photograph feels confusing although it doesn't appeal to be confusing. The painting tells me that the artist may have been confused in his life. I think that because of the way the shapes interact.
Formalism: I believe that the painting took thought and took time. It consists of shades, pattern, line, balance, variety, contrast, shape, and space. It shows images of everyday life.
I believe that this is a good piece of art.

The materials he used were: cotton, string, and strips of paper.
This is an example of one of his photograph, although this isn't the exact one i wrote about.
